excellent points!!!

emphasize that there are NO "dwarf igs" ... they ALL have the potential to be 5-6 feet long in a VERY short amount of time ... and they SHOULD live for 15-20 years! unless someone is willing to make a commitment for that length of time, they have no business taking an ig home with them ...

igs need a *major* commitment! you don't just give 'em a bowl of food + water + go away for the wkend ... you need to be able to spend time with them everyday + be able/willing to stick to a schedule (cuz that's how igs like it!) and accept the fact that igs expect, deserve + Demand to be spoiled and waited on claw + foot!

they need a specialized diet and a specialized environment (+ a LARGE one at that!) ... the greens/food they need to be healthy + happy are not always easy or possible to find in some areas ... and as far as environment ~ iZ has his own room but that doesn't mean that's good enough! he still comes out into the rest of the house on a regular, daily basis to exercise + socialize (+ our heating bills are HUGE) ... anything less than that would be like keeping him in a prison cell ...

i'd strongly emphasize the points about medical care ~ both it's availablity and it's cost ... no one *plans* on any pet getting sick, but they DO ...

i'm sure there's lots more ~ but ya get the point ... *grin*

Bon. + iZ
