sooooo glad to hear that Iggy found her way to you and a good home!! always feel free to ask any + all questions that come to mind (there are *no* dumb or silly questions!!!) and be sure and share stories with us too! *grin*

i'd like to emphasize what HD said about free-roaming and ig-proofing ~ contrary to what most people think, animals do NOT instinctively know what is good/bad for them, especially when they're raised by humons! igs can + WILL eat the dumbest non-food things, it's a kind of "Toddler Mentality" that they do not outgrow ~ hey ~ it looks good/interesting, so i'd better taste/eat it!" ... and if there's one tiny thing in the whole house that they shouldn't have it ~ they'll find it! (this is equally true for igs AND toddlers, btw ... ) ... (and i'd rather 'nag' than have ya find out the hard way! *grin*)

oh ~ as far as not drinking ~ igs don't usually drink a whole lot, tho it's still important to always have fresh water available for them ... make sure to spray their salad with water before serving and that should supply enough for most igs ... you *might* want to consider giving her a bit extra til she's more healthy (with an oral syringe or plastic medicine dropper) ...
