: Hello ! I am relatively new there, although I have been lurking for quite some time.
: On Dec. 26, I took possession of an abandoned Ig from our animal control, moments after they recieved her. She was dark brown, a lot of wounds, and very thirsty and hungry. I won't get into how she was abandoned, it is simply too sad !
: Well, Iggy, as I call her, was to be a temp animal until I found her a home. I have nursed her back to health, she is green again, gaining weight, and her scars are healing.
: I did all the research i could the day I bought her, and have been feeding her a very balanced diet.
: She is a p/t free roaming, and a p/t caged ig.
: I found out tonight, that she seems to enjoy visits to the bathroom, where the cat's food is at, and she enjoys a snack of cat food. This has me concerned, due to the high protein of cat food. I have elimanated that problem, but was curious to others' thought on it.
: She also does not seem to drink much water.
: By the way, she is 41" STL, very friendly, and enjoys curing up in bed with me at times even. I have decided to keep her on a permanet basis, and will begin construction of her new condo shortly.
