silver sulfadine is a really strong anti-microbial and if you've got some (it needs a prescription) i'd go ahead and use it ... the worrisome thing with igs is that they *do* heal slowly because they are cold-blooded ...

i think roaming the bathroom could be a good idea and him being able to burn off more energy *could* help ... ig-proofing it could be tricky tho ~ make sure you think like an ig and know that any and EVERYthing that he has a remote chance of getting into, knocking over, etc WILL be gotten into! consider the mirror too ~ some igs (like iZ) will TOTALLY freak at the sight of their reflection ~ others will bob, etc at it but it has the effect of wearing them out ...
also consider that he'll want something to climb ... make sure curtains + towels are secure or removed ... a macrame' type plant hangers firmly attached to towel racks or shower rods work good ...

as far as him not liking baths ... maybe if he's in there and *nothing* happens (as far as him getting put into water!) he'll calm down abit about the whole bath thing??? nahhhhh ... that's way too logical for an ig to do ...

good luck!
Bon.
