: I invited my boyfriend over for dinner tonight, and just now as I was making dinner, he came into my kitchen with our iguana (Habib) on his shoulder. He was standing near me at the stove, where I was watching my lemon-pepper chicken marinade.

: Before we knew what happened, Habib jumped from his shoulder and right into the pot of chicken marinade! We hurried and got her out, washed her herb-covered little body off, and put her back in her room.

: Luckily, the chicken mixture was only in the marinade-stage, and not boiling yet! Or else we might have had Iguana-lemon-pepper and rice for dinner tonight instead of lemon pepper chicken.

: Just had to share this story, because we can't quit laughing...What was Habib thinking? She's a silly lizard...We sure do love our girl!

: (As a side note, and in all seriousness, this could have turned out to be a disasterous situation. It should be noted that it is NOT a good idea to enter the kitchen or stand by the stove while "wearing" your iguana if anyone is cooking. Iguanas sometimes get some funny ideas...just be safe!)
