I am uncertain of what REPTILES article may have misled you,but there are no clinical signs of Salmonella.I would suspect the spot can be linked to Dermatophytosis,which is a yeast related fungal skin infection.You need to re-evaluate your husbandry,and make sure the humidity is not too great,and that your Ig is warm and dry at all times.Good luck.
