Not true bites, just nips, but enough to draw blood. He's only something like 10 cm long snout to vent.

The thing to note is that I'm staying in the tropics, rather than a temperate region. We're having rather cool weather now, with lots of rain.

Before this he never bit me aggressively, only after tasting me and deciding I was food.
