One more vote for possible reflection concerns, unfortunately. Only two ways around it as far as I know. One being to make sure that it is lighter outside the cage than in, which will most likely be difficult at best. The other is to invest in "non-reflective" material. I'm not sure if plexi comes that way, as I haven't dealt with it too much, but if it does it's probably going to be cost prohibitive. On top of that, you could end up with scratched walls within a year depending on just how big iZ is. Cost is also definitely a factor. I just bought a 28"x32" panel to cut a few lids for enclosures a few months ago. A piece that size cost $35 if memory serves.
"Unfortunately", you can probably pick up two sheets of at least b/c (if not better)grade plywood for that much which will be more than enough for walls, floor and ceiling. Insulating factors could also be a concern. You may want to compare between plexi and at least 1/2" ply.
As far as venting, consider cutting one set of vents low on one side and installing a small fan in the top of the enclosure to draw air up and out.
