We found the largest shallow container with a lid that we could find from Rubbermaid and drilled a few small holes for fresh air. When we need to take someone somewhere we pull out a human heating pad, warm it up good and put it in the bottom of the container, cord and all. This is covered by a sheet folded a few times so as not to get too hot and place the lizard in on top of everything. Once we're leaving our new destination we just reverse the process. Keeping the car warm does help too.
