: And if the ig is in such BAD condition and you feel SOOOOOOOo bad for it just buy it already! Quit trying to get something for free. (yes its a no no, you/i would just be supporting the pet industry. the owner will probably just get another large ig in...i know all this so spare me the bs arguement related to that subject. If you thik about it actually, this isn't a large imported iguana (it was someones pet) so you really wouldn't be supporting the importation of large wc igs. So in conclusion: i think you should
: 1) buy the iguana
: 2) offer to pay vet bills to clear up any problems it has
: 3) hurry up and get it some help before it dies!
Well Phantoms,
I rarely resort to any sort of name calling but this will actually make me feel better this one time, so everyone else I apologize.
Phantoms, in my personal, humble opinion, you are one of two things. You are either a moron or a PetCo employee. After having the discussion that I had this evening with a PetCo employee here in town regarding a Uromastyx that they inadvertently received and subsequently kept (despite admittedly not knowing ANYTHING about the reptile). If I were you, I'd opt for moron right now.
If you had taken one half of one second to read at all you would have already known that Diana has already made SEVERAL attempts to acquire the "large pet iguana" as well as offering to take it to a vet (#'s 1 and 2 on your "list"). By the way, PetCo also has a policy of not allowing reptiles to leave the store without being purchased. Yet another strike against. Simply by offering to both buy and pay for vet treatments, Diana has fulfilled your #3 suggestion. Unfortunately, it sounds as though the store that she is attempting to deal with has absolutely no interest in making any attempts to improve the health of this iguana, who if you think about it, was probably imported as a hatchling as opposed to being imported as an adult. If it's juvenile life was anythign like it's adult life sounds, it is truly amazing that it has survived this long. Hopefully Phantoms, you don't have any pets yourself - or children for that matter.
