PetCo Iguana

Thanks, Christy, and to all of you who wrote concerning the Petco Iguana I'm trying to rescue from her sad/deficient life.

At this moment, I'm rehearsing what I'm going to say to them, and then I'm going to Petco to try to get the Ig. I'm nervous! I'm not a very assertive person by nature, but I HAVE to try to do something to help this Ig, so I'm gathering my guts and I'm going to go over there.

I'm going to try the "nice approach" at first, but if they say no, I'm going to tell them that they leave me no choice but to file a formal complaint with whomever licenses them, because this Iguana WILL die if nothing about her lifestyle and habitat changes soon. They are doing all iguanas a big disservice by making it appear to their customers that all they have to do with their new Iguana is buy a small glass tank and some lettuce and all will be well. It's pathetic that a pet store is doing this to such a wonderful creature as she is, as well as misrepresenting the proper care of her whole species.

Okay, I'm going now, and I'm so hoping to come home and tell you all the good news! I especially will be happy for Christy, because she will become the Iguana's new "mom" if all goes well.

Thanks again for all of your support and for your positive posts of encouragement. I appreciate all of you out there. Right now, you're all the support I have!
Going now...
Diana
