The ones I've had seem to be enjoying it the most when they keep their eyes open and look totally relaxed. Mine have seemed to prefer petting under the chin, rubbing their dewlap etc most. They always closed their eyes when I pet them on the head but I think it was more tolerance than enjoyment. Sleestack is really enjoying himself while taking warm baths and sinking down into the water, putting his arms back. He likes when I splash water on his back-- and that is the only time I am 100% sure he is having a good time from his behavior! Most people assume that an ig likes being petted when it closes its eyes, but I definitely do NOT think this is true. Like another posted, sometimes it means they do and sometimes it means they don't.

: Well mine just lays there. Sometimes moves his head back and forth, but it's never tried biting me, running away, or anything else so I guess it likes it.
