If you are not satisfied with your vet, look for a new one. Here is the link to the Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians, you can find a new vet in your area there. Before making an actual appointment, I"d ask them if they can provide you with a price list or atleast someidea of what they charge for different proceedures.
