: cost me 60 dollars for deworm bloodwork fecal sample
I was wondering if I could get some advice on my female. She is about 8-9 years and has never been gravid until this year. I took her to the vet about a month ago because she wasn't eating, had some tenderness in her back area andher urates were off color, her advice was to a blood test and a shot of vit. b I passed on the shot got the blood test and was told that it could be a heavy parisite load and should have all my igs treated 3igs at about $150 each ig and three months of fecal samples at $20 per sample. I decided to wait to see if she was gravid something the vet brushed off as unlikely. Last friday she laid 5 eggs in her encloser and 4 in her nesting box she still full and has no intrest in digging and is eating normally her nesting box is 5' by 3' w/18"of playground sand and a 50watt spot light over to keep the area warm. I a'm unsure about taking her back to the vet not because of the price but because they seem to be more concerend about having unnecesary work done tomake more money, they are the only herp vet in the area. Any advice would be greatly appriciated. thx.
