Well, Baby has really done it this time. I was finishing up with a student (I teach piano) and another student of mine walks in holding up a bloody index finger (he's 18, by the way, so don't panic!) He says "You got any rubbing alcohol." I'm like, "Huh?" and so I proceeded to get it for him and then asked how he incured this injury..."Uh, I tried to pick up your iguana." *ALARM*
Anyway, He is fine. He cleaned the wound really well, and I told him to make sure he cleaned it at least two more times tonight and apply some bacitracin or neosporin on it as well. I told him he's lucky Baby isn't a few years older or he'd have several stitches and be through with lessons for awhile! LOL
Upon further investigation, it turns out that Baby was sitting in his hide area where he likes to sleep (underneath a piece of driftwood) and Ben reached up and over the top of the area to coax Baby out. Well, you can imagine the rest. I took Baby out of his cage and let Ben hold him and walk around the house with him. Mainly to let Baby know that even though he can bite, that doesn't always make the person go away. It was good for Ben too, in that he could see what it takes to handle my lizard. I have a sneaky suspicion that Ben will ask to hold Baby next time! J
