you ARE doing what you say MK does.We all here have learned good and bad about different sites, good point on your part and a lot of us have learned thru trial and error.
I have personally talked to Melissa many many times and her site is invaluable as is Swoffards and Egan's and many others. But you have to start a newbie somewhere and to try and write and teach them everything right here is gonna take a long long long time and a great deal of typing. So why not send them to do some of their reserch at these sites with the addition of read and pick out what you think is right for your ig.Nothing is written in stone and with these wonderous igs,,things change daily it seems. If you as a newbie come in and ask a simple question like what substrate should I use for my ig or what size cage,,,you'll get a zillion different answers from as many owners.
What I've found to maybe simplest is to refer them to the best sites so they can see and learn themselves.Tooo much info for one mind to remember in one post at one time. They need a point of reference to go back to so they don't ask the same questions over and over.
We've rescued and had igs and other reptiles for 10yrs and have healthy ones.I along with two other ladies started the Herp Vet Connection for newbies to hopefully find a good personally recommended herp vet,,not an easy thing to find even on the big list of vets. What I'm trying to say is read and let the owner learn and read some more.
MK,Swoffard,Egan all have good reference on their sites. Are you prepared to sit here all day and nite and tell these newbies everything they need to know now?
Just MHO and 4cents
