: my iguana cali was attcked by the cat and what u should really worry about if she/ he does survive is the bacteria cats carry in theyre mouths i suspect that was what caused cali to pass on she turned black and wasnt breathing either i thinks its a self defense thing she was ok after both attacks her ears were red for awhile to she suffered a punctured lung a broken leg two broken ribs the vet told me she would die but she lived for about 6 months afterwards make sure
double triple sure and ask ur vet about treatment for the bacteria in the cats mouth!!!!!!!!!!!
ASK ABOUT TREATMENT FOR BACTERIA IN CATS MOUTH!!i cant stress that enough im serious o and dont try killing the cat that jus makes the cat dislike u trust me;) good luck

Wasabi was attacked by my cat today. I thought all the cats were outside when I let him out of cage to climb around. I went downstairs to get him some treats and when I came back, he was laying on the floor and my cat was tossing him around. Turns out the stupid STUPID cat had been hiding under my bed just waiting for me to leave the room. Well, although there were no visible wounds, he wasn't breathing so I gave him mouth to nose and he started breathing again (I think he was holding his breath) and rushed him to the Emergency animal hospital. They gave him some Baytril and a SubQ fluid shot and they are keeping him in a humidified oxygen cage (with his heat light and hide log). He has regained some of his color (he had turned black) and he is looking more alert but his ears have turned red. The vet said that is wasn't internal bleeding and that he is going to be fine but I'm not sure. I just have this awful feeling that the red I saw in his ears (it's under the scale) was blood caused by internal damage. It's all my fault! I don't know what I'll do if I lose him.
