Merlin sounds like hes in perfect health. If youe can't see the ribs or the pelvic bone then they normaly have a good weight. Don't be so paranoid, you are doing a great job, I'm sure Merlin will grow up to be a magnificent adult in no time with the care hes getting. Just stick to what you've been doing. The picture up top is a hatchling iguana, you can't see the ribs or pelvic bone. He is very green and plump too. I tried to find a better picture but your right, it is hard to find baby iguana photos.
