My last ig didn't care for my parakeet, but the parakeet LOVED him-- would ride around on him everywhere and took baths with him (as shown). Salvador the iguana tried to ignore lyric, and that bird had some nerve. He would actually run up and take food out of the the iguana's mouth and still he did nothing. I kept a close eye on them though because you never know when an animal will turn. Besides, I had to make sure Lryic didn't pull any of Salvador's spines off too! When Salvador died, Lyric would look for him everywhere, he was soooo sad.

Your iguana sounds like it has a strange fascination with your bird though so I wouldn't take any chances!

: Everytime I take Iggy (my 4 1/2 ft female) out of her enclosure for some freeroaming, she goes straight to where my cockatiels are. When she gets in front of their cage, she just sits there and watches them. They are in a pretty secure cage that is about 3 feet off the ground and the birds don't seem to mind but I'm still a little concerned... Do you think she would eat them if given the chance? I know the obvious solution is to keep Iggy out of the living room (where the birds are) but that is her favorite room and her brother has the only other ig-proof room to himself.
