I use lettuce about 4-5 times a year if that.
When I choose a lettuce I choose looseleaf lettuce. Why you might ask?
Even though all lettuce is 94-95% water I still look at the Calcium/Phos ratio of certain lettuce.
Here's what I find.
Romaine lettuce 100 grams 36.000 mg Calcium 45.000 phosphorus
Boston/Bibb lettuce 100 grams 32.000 Calcium 23.000 Phosphorus
Looseleaf lettuce 100 grams 68.000 Calcium 25.000 Phosphorus.
