Forum and New People (sorry long)

I have been here a long time and time to time there are feuds. But lately, things have gotten down right nasty at times. I go to other forums and I see people with BASIC questions such as "what do I feed my iguana?" I want to tell them to come over here and ask questions but then I see someone jump down their throat.

Not everyone reads books before buying an iguana. Some people read the wrong books. I was one that didn't read. I took Sammy home 4 1/2 years ago with a heat rock and commercial food. A neighbor said they ate romaine lettuce. A vet told me to feed her crickets (she hated the cricket).

I joined NIAD because I believe that people who aren't online deserve good advice. I have talked to people who have spent a fortune healing a sick iguana due to bad care info. I emailed one person who posted here and he is about 150 miles from a good vet. Not everyone who doesn't have all your knowledge will make a bad iguana parent.

Try to remember that not everyone has been online for years and may not live in an urban area where they can find good information.
