Fairs better living outide in the natural sun and fresh air.
From chucks, to beardeds, to monitors, crocodilians, and yes, iguanids too!
If u live where it is warm enough, its the best thing you can do for your animal.
Wire mesh, preferably palstic/rubber coated, would replace glass of course, or a high wall of bricks or cement.
Now for Spiny Tails.........
they are not the nicest in temperament, and u have to work harder to tame them. They are however, imprssive animals, and their care is similar to green igs. They do however, need animal protein once in a while, though some still debate on this.
They get half as long as green igs, but have formidable teeth and jaws! The tail, being spiny, is another thing to keep in mind.
If u play your cards right, they can be rewarding animals. The fact that they're smaller makes them easier to house (an enclosure of 7'L, 5'W, and 7+'H is the best). And since u want to go with outdoors design, its even easier!
Good luck, and let us know anything else that's on your mind! At the ctenosaura forum they're quiet helpful. Mark M. is the pro there, and a professional breeder as well!
c-ya!
: I've heard of people keeping Spiny-Tailed Iguanas outdoors.
