Hey there if you would calm down and just listen to what everybody told you . You asked we told you go to the vet . If you had any responsibility in the first place you would still have a licence and this would not be a problem WOULD IT !! I have been doing this for sixteen years that is 1 year over half my life I have heard it all . The fact is that YOU are responsible for your pet iguana as you would be for a child . I have heard every excuse in the book as to why people can't or wont go to the vet when the fact is if you WANTED to you could one way or another . Just as a bit of information when my iguana was 3 I had to take him to Boston to see a vet that is 8 hours from where I live I bought a greyhound ticket and I went because Speedy is MY responsibility and I accept that and do what is needed . So stop fighting cursing and arguing . Go get a ride take a bus plane or train and get him to a vet. Don't do it because I or anybody else tells you to but so it because it is your responsibility and it is not only the right thing to do but the ONLY thing to do . No matter what you learn here or anywhere else learn this a vet can find a problem BEFORE you ever even think it might be a problem . They can tell you if an iguana is eating right how his bones are doing and much more . If your going to own an iguana going to the vet is NOT an option . Belive me I have seen some very bad things as the result of somebody not having the time or inclination to just go to the vet . You know what they do ? They call someone like me or one of many others who do what I do and they say please help me my iguana has a problem we tell them what we can and then we say go to the vet and have him checked over then a few weeks later they call back and they say he is still not doing well . And after finding out they did not go to the vet for whatever excuse they ask if I would look at him of course I say yes . Then they come over with a iguana that is mite ridden has parasites broken toes or legs abscess mouth rot an infected broken tail and god only knows what else . And 99 percent of the time they say well he would be better off with you . Guess what I do after cleaning him up and feeding him ? Did you guess ? We go to the vet . I spend 50 to god knows how much for meds xrays blood work fecal test and so on . Then when he is healthy and doing good I find him a good home and give him away . Why do I and many others spend our time and money to do this ? Well we love to help . So please just find a way to get your iguana to the vet . If you are unable to find any way to do this ( I am sure you can if you try ) then I would suggest you find him a home with someone who is able to .
