although thank goodness not as unfortunate as yours. I had mine sitting on the back shower rack on a towel. I was washing my hair in the shower. I looked at him as he squatted behind the rack and towel, lowering himself-- thinking this behavior was strange looking. Suddenly I saw poop magically fly down to the back of the tub with now urine/urate (it had soaked into the towel) I was quite disgusted! It was the first and the last time I took him in the shower with me! He usually waited a long time during his bath to go so I figured I would warm him up this way and get him some extra moisture. BIG MISTAKE! Sorry you had to find out the hard way! Also, the two iguanas I've had in my life have definitely pooped when they are upset or mad (and they both know to go in the tub).
: Has anyone else noticed that iguanas "poop" when they get mad? I read somewhere that it is a good idea to let your iguana sit on a towel covered rack in the shower while you are showering. I had never done this before (Iggy and Wasabi always take baths), so I decided to try it out. So I put Iggy up on the shower stall's metal bar (it's up above), with a thick towel for him to sit on. As I was washing my hair, I noticed that he was looking behind him (he was facing out of the shower) and lining himself up with my head. He then preceded to squirt poop all over my hair and my face. As I was screaming and jumping around he just sat there with what I swear was a smirk. I KNOW he did what he did to show that he didn't like the shower idea.
