i CAN'T BELEIVE THOSE PEOPLE!!!
Maybe you should ask your boss if you can print up a care sheet on iguana's to send home with the animal. Its not much, but its a start! Then ask your boss to make the people read a requirements agreement and have them sign, leave their telephone number, and promise to send in pictures of their IG's and copies of Vet reports. State on the agreement that with the information given, they MUST follow the requirements or "no iguana foryou!". Inform them in bold letters that if they don't take proper care of the iguana and if the required documents aren't brough tto you or the pet store, you have the authority (and so does anybody else) to call Peta adn report them. Maybe that will get their attention!
If the people read this, adn the requirements, and don't pass the quiz that you give them, they can't buy the iguana until they get red up on them, you can also require in the agreement for them to buy SOME kind of iguana information book.
Here's just a few suggestions on what you can do!
It doesn't mean that they won't go to other stores and buy some other defencless iguana, but atleast you'll have the assurance that YOUR petstore doesn't sell to ignorant and completely clueless people.
Suggest this to your boss, then to ther pet stores in your area. Hopefully, this will discourage people yo killing iguana's like that.
