In the years that I managed the pet store and since with the rescues, I've come across a few little igs that waste away and die for no obvious reason. I call these igs "failure to thrive" babies, just as there are human babies that fail to thrive, even with good care. Even with proper husbandry, vet checks, fecals, they just don't survive. I know this doesn't answer any of your questions, it's just my view of things. Please consider adopting an iguana if you ever decide to be owned by one of these amazing creatures again.
