Update on Iguanas as Prizes

I ordered a free sample of model legislation to ban pets as prizes from the Humane Society. What I received was a copy of 23 states' laws and some local ordinances. Now this in itself is very educational. Most states that have a law about pets as giveaways, specifically say rabbits and chicks and talk about dying them. Now, I am old enough to remember pet stores selling dyed baby chicks. I quess this tells me how old these laws are.

Connecticut, kansas, Maryland, Mass, NY (2000, North Dakota,PA,
South Carolina, Vermont have laws against all animals as prizes expect in some cases, fish.
