: First Feast
: In the beginning, Iguana lived alone in a dark cave. When it was time to populate the earth, First Mother came to him, but Iguana pleaded to be left to his solitary life; he felt too plain to show himself. "I will make a crest on your back from ridges of the mighty mountains," she said,"and give you a wondrous tail that sprouts again like a corn plant if you lose it. I will brighten you with colors from the flowers of the forest. Then you will join our Feast of the Beginning today. Close your eyes, hold your breath for three counts, and it will be done."
: Iguana felt proud of his new self and enjoyed the celebration immensely. He found that he loved the warm world and the company of the creatures. And even now, while he is basking in the sun with his brothers, he smiles and smiles when he thinks of those first days. He puffs out his cheeks as he remembers how he held his breath, then bobs his head up and down to the beat of the drum at the great feast.

: It's kinda new-agey, but I thought it was sweet. I think I'm sinking deeper into the drum of Iguana fanaticism! LOL J
