Finally, someone stands up for us instead of bashing us. You can't make a steroetype about ANY group of people. That is a lack of respect that is unexcusable. I'm glad you posted!

: number one lets address the kid thing 18 and over is not a kid or childor boy nor girl number 2 im enrolled in college course i adopted a sic iguana taking care of a sic iguana and raising a juvi i take good care of my iguanas granted i need the occasional help thats why i post here and read the post's here my point is the stereotype u made not only makes me think ur ignorant but makes u look ignorant i have also found that on this site somany preach and do nothing and ive found a number of people who dont care to do anything but point out flaws and type idiotic snide remarks that doesnt help anyone i however will not let the bad eggs corrupt my thoughts of this forum and everyone deserves a second chance so ill be waiting for ur response

: I have adopted many an iguana . I have never and will never sell one however I will not give one to somebody who is not ready ( meaning having a cage light heat diet and the # of a good vet ) I will also not give one to college kids ( they are not stable ) and I have taken in MANY iguanas from the college kids who leave and don't or can't take them home are wherever they are going. I always make sure that the person understands that owning an iguana is a LONG term commitment . I have turned many people away for these reasons . It would be a lot more easy on me to just give them to whomever came to the door and wanted one belive me when you have a room of 20 or 30 of them cages floor to ceiling and an extra fridge ( kept in the room for the extra heat ) for all the food that by the way does not chop itself up . I would rather work harder and longer to make sure the person I give them to will love them and care for them as I do my own . Many of the people I have given one to still tell me what's going on and I even have a few people that moved that write me to do the same . Most of the people that take in iguanas do so because they love them and want the best for them . I did not talk to your friend but I this might explain the reason why .
