The reason your friend may not have gotten responses depends on what he/she wrote ... maybe they mentioned they are in Utah or something & maybe no one here knows any rescue in Utah. I myself have posted on this forum in the last few weeks about igs looking for homes. Perhaps if your friend is really searching for one, he/she couldve contacted one of these people with the igs that I posted about. Personally, I havent received an email from your friend inquiring about the igs I posted either. Its a two way street Shocker... your friend needs to do more than just post & expect an ig to come to him/her. If she/he is looking for an ig - seriously - then this friend should be contacting the numerous people on here that have posted about igs looking for homes & not expect those people to come to him or her & ask if they want their ig. Get it? I would advise your friend to keep an eye out on this board for people who have them up for adoption... and to contact them. What state is your friend from? I know of a few igs in NY state looking for good homes.
