MBD is 50% curable, and 50% not.
if it has not progressed to extremes, it can be taken care of. but, if the symptoms are advanced deformation and weakness, its too late.
Usually it's too late when the deformations are so advanced, that the animal cannot perform daily physical routines by itslef.
but if the symptoms are not too tragic, such as slight deformation and swellings of jaws and limbs, it can be saved.
calcium supplements with D3 and natural sunlight are excellent for curing. warmth too.
