OKAY. Not that I need to justify anything here, but, all right.
I'm not certain what I've done to deserve that kind of reply. I can only assume you object to iguanas being bred at all? Okay. I'm NOT from the US. People do NOT abandon igs here as they seem to do where all of you supposedly live, rather, herp keepers are a minority here, and those few that keep these animals usually know what they're doing and would never give them up. That supposing I would give my babies away, which I most likely will not. I usually know what I'm doing, my oldest ig is 18 years now (yes, the female the eggs are from!), so perhaps I am not as irresponsible as you think, nor as unknowing about their needs. As to why they are my first ig eggs, well, I only have the male one for two years, and last year he was too small for the female's liking, as she rejected him, and the eggs were infertile. This year she liked him better... .
The only reason I asked about when they start eating is that the other lizards I hatched previously (geckos and basilisks) are carnivores and starting to eat right away, and this is my first clutch of herbivores. There is a difference, you know.
Maybe think about the circumstances before you jump someone who just states a honest question.
Not that any of you cares, I guess, but the babies are doing fine, eating, playing and growing.
