Piggy stopped laying eggs a few years back. She has been absorbing them back into her system rather than laying. She would have layed by now had she produced eggs as I always got my clutches just before Christmas. The spot on her tail isn't shed. It looks more like a fungus of some type and it hurts her when I touch it...at least I get slapped when I ran my finger over it plus she cringes. Piggy is an exceptional female. I've had her for over 6 years now and she is as friendly as a cat. I'm worried about her belly because she is a little discolored also. Piggy is a free roamer who spends her day basking in the sun or watching tv with me. Then she sleeps in my bed until it is time for us to go to bed at which time I move her to her room. I know there is something wrong with her other than the normal stuff.
