I would hope that his lack of eating was because of winter. If it's not that can mean that he is sick, you wouldn't want that would you? :)
Have you done any research online about iguanas?
The diet is pretty good so far, but I would add some Dandelion Greens, Butternut Squash, and would take out the carrots or feed them sparingly, I've heard that too much carrots in a diet can hurt your IG. Make sure that you don't use teh ltuuce as a staple.
If he doesn't fight when you try to take him out, that can mean that he is sick, a healthy young iguana would normally resist capture.
You should buy a flourecent (tube) UVB light. You can buy them at your local Pet Supply Store. This produces essential UVB which aids in calcium absorption. Poor Calcium absorption = MBD (Metabolic Bone Disease) which can eventually kill your iguana.
Do you have any climbing material in your cage? Branches thicker than his torso will do. Your cage is fine for now, but I warn you, he will out-grow it faster than you can say Johnny. I suggest getting or building a Custom built cage. It is much better at keeping heat in an dthe IG's "cumfy". Measure your tank, it should be 1.5 - 2 times the length of your IG and .5 times deep as the length of our IG, and 1-2 times as high. Iguana's are aboreal, so the cage should be higher than it is long.
