While I agree with the warm bath, I wouldn't recommend leaving a large container of water around when your Ig is unsupervised. It's a major drowning risk. If on the off chance he can't get out or panics...you never know. You could try paper training him. Just leave some paper where he usually goes. Pretty soon he'll start to associate it with his place to go potty. You can then start to move the paper to a more appropriate spot. Although I would still leave some paper on the original spot for a while just incase. I've had much success with this.
If you use your tub to poop him, make sure you clean thoroughly. I use bleach solution. I know its stating the obvious but I've known people who've just rinsed it out and walked away.
