:I believe that these lights have their place but probably not as a regular cage fixture. Maybe for treatment for MBD as an extra measure. If I were a vet I'd buy a few of them. The point is, if you are using the zoo-med bulbs you don't need crawl on lights. Also, this product looks like hell! I mean who wants to look in at their herp while being blinded by the light?! Definitely not the most natural looking thing to say the least...but for rehabilitation of calcium deficient herps this provides an extra tool in the war against MBD.
