Strange markings

I have noticed strange markings on my Iguana. They are 4 black vertical lines about 2.5 inches long. They are on her side. They look as if someone use a black marker and drew the lines. They aren't burns because there isn't anyting that she could burn herself on; and it isn't marker becaouse there is no one around her except for my girlfriend I and . Does anyone have a clue as to what it is?
