boarding

i'm going away for x-mas so i decided to have Iggy and Wasabi boarded (sp?) at my vet's. he is GREAT. but i was wondering, should i bring something from each of their cages to make them feel more at home? i'm guessing the vet will let them free roam (i need to call him tomorrow to find out)...
