Not sure if this case is medical or husbandry issues, I'm getting mixed signals from your post. If the Vet is running test.....I would guess that means blood work??? If that's so, you should be able to see right away if there's a medical problem going on with this iguana. Of course stress will make a few of the lab levels go above normal, which is typical.
If it's husbandry, a key area to focus on is, 1. is it getting enough UVB lighting during the day, free roaming? (18" or less from the iguana most of the day) 2. Is the iguana provided the proper heat during the day? 90 to 95 degrees?? 3. What's the diet of this iguana?
All three of the above are major factors on a unhealthy iguana, chances are.....the problem falls under one of them, if the lab results come back negitive.
