Well, I can only give you advice from what I have seen or heard from other people, not from personal experience.

On picky eating: Try shredding ALL the food up using a cheese grater, making it impossible for your Ig to pick her way through it. If she can't pick out the collard greens, maybe she will just go ahead and eat it all. Give it a try, nothing to lose. At least it is Collard greens that she wants :) It could be a lot worse.

As for her only wanting to be on one side of the enclosure, it could be heat, light, or just a general sense of safety on that side. I know snakes can be a little nasty when you reach into their cages to get them out (protective of their home), maybe the same with Igs? If that is the case, you may have to just work with her, so she knows you are no threat to her in her home. It might take a while... But with any animal, if you are persistant enough, they will learn.

: maybe it sounds silly, but are you shure the igg's cage is warm enough? since she likes to get out (and get human warmth)maybe she (or he?) is cold. hope the igg will start eating soon!!
: good luck, wednes.

: : My baby ig Rosebud is refusing to eat anything except collard greens. She picks around in her dish, ignores everythiing else, and goes for the greens. she won't go for any fruits, which she usually likes, -- this has gone on for a week, and she is starting to lose weight! She only stays on one side of her enclosure, and attempts to bite me everytime I try to take her ou of her cage. Once she is out, she is fine, but when I go to put her back in her enclosure, she puts ups a fight and snaps at me, and once in proceeds to give me the evil eye for about half an hour. Help me out!-- this is starting to worry me--
: : Peace-- Andy
