I don't let my igg roam because I have heard stories of iguanas suddenly biting there owners in the face (such as one of my friends) and he has also been abused and I don't know his history too well and don't fully trust him. I also have a ton of wires in the house from other animals and a dog that acts like a little chihuahua. I do let him out every day for about 2 hours in my parents bedroom because it is MUCH more safer in there. I'm in there the whole time either doing my homework, or watching tv, or just playing with him. I give him baths every other day in the bath tub. He is so far a great igg but I just don't trust him with my other animals especially the bearded dragon. It is also extremely cold where I live (New Hampshire) and from a post that I just read about an igg laying beside a window that was too cold that did something to the ig( can't remember exactly) I don't trust that either. Sorry for having this so long and some if it probably a little confusing.
