Hey all, been a while since I've been around or on the IML.
Anyways, I still have my iggy, Wasabi. That picture above
was taken in July this year... and I assumed Wasabi was a
girl. (now almost 2 yrs old, ~3' SVL, ~16" STL) I also was
fostering my ex's iggy (Spike) which was very male but the
same age. Can you see why I thought Wasabi was female? The
scale on the cheek is small, her pores were small, spikes were
tiny. Well I returned Spike to my ex about 3 months ago.
All the sudden, Wasabi's spikes doubled in length, the scale
is getting bigger and low-and-behold I see a huge bulge at
the base of the tail and the pores trippled in size! I have
a male!
Spike and Wasabi were never kept together, I had Spike in the
living room and Wasabi free roams my bedroom... Spike showed
his male-ness a year ago. I was amazed by the sudden burst of sexuality in Wasabi. I had assumed he was female since Spike
already showed his huge pores.
I didn't realize iggys could bloom so late.. I thought they
would show their sex by year/year and half of age. Just wanted
to post this experience for others... If anyone is interested,
I just took some new pics and I could post this one along with
the new ones so you could see the differences 6 months can make.
=)

PS... anyone have a link to the page that shows how to make an
iggy "sex-toy"? thanks!!
