It's important that you do have that done. Worms are common in iguanas, just like in dogs.

If he checked out ok, you should see good results in about a month or so. But since you spend every day with this iguana, changes are not going to be as noticable to you. Weighing your iguana every week will confirm gained weight. Here's what you can do, weigh yourself on a scale, then weigh you holding your iguana. Subtract your weight and you now have a close weight of your iguana.
