Gentle Handling

: I wanted to thank everyone here for all there advise. Roman especially. I did what Roman said about just putting my hand in Merlin's cage and laying it close to him. Then I would pet him while I also talked to him. Sometimes he became a crazy lizard but more and more he just let me pet him. As soon as tried to pick him up he would become a crazy lizard, until the last couple of days. I know the crazy part isn't over yet but now he lets me pick him up, pet him and talk to him. I can hold him while I play games on the computer. I usually have the radio on, and as most people, I sing along with the playing song. The only thing I haven't figured out yet is that as I sing, Merlin will close his eyes. I don't know whether he is comfortable with my voice or its just to painful for him...LOL. : Thanks again, Joan
