Elmo has been doing the same thing lately, I think its just a teritorial thing because as soon as he wanders out of his cage hes fine and dandy. But when I try to reach in his cage to pet him he hisses and gapes his mouth like hes on a mission of destruction. I find it best with all my animals to let them come to you.
