The iguana was developing eggs at the time and didn't want to be messed with. She gave Sue all the common warning signs shudder bobs and pulling her tail back for a strike. She was saying please don't pick me up, of course Sue didn't think much of it, but after seeing Lola (the ig) turn and grab hold for about 5 seconds, Sue learned a good lesson. Now if Lola is in that mood we leave her alone.
Has the color of your ig changed to a darker muddy color? Lola does this when she's developing eggs and she also gets very large in her stomach area.
