might be egg bound and if she is, she may not feel good. Our older female (6) 2 years ago, grabbed hold of Sue2's arm and could of really hurt her but it was just a warning bite. The iguana was developing eggs at the time and didn't want to be messed with. She gave Sue all the common warning signs shudder bobs and pulling her tail back for a strike. She was saying please don't pick me up, of course Sue didn't think much of it, but after seeing Lola (the ig) turn and grab hold for about 5 seconds, Sue learned a good lesson. Now if Lola is in that mood we leave her alone.
Has the color of your ig changed to a darker muddy color? Lola does this when she's developing eggs and she also gets very large in her stomach area.
