Heya!, I'm new to this whole lizard thing so excuse the dumb questions but I love my new 4 leged friend so much I want to get everything as best I can for him. I just got a new Dragon he's roughly 2-3 months old. I've got him in a 55 gallon open (mesh) top and keeping the temp I find is very difficult (I live in cnetral alberta (Canada) I've got 1 150 watt Daylight heat lamp which I run from 8am to 8pm, and a 75 watt infared lamp that I run 24/7 I notice under the day lamp it ranges from 90-100 degrees farnehit which under I keep a 3 gallon tub of water with rocks for his basking and frolicing pleasures. (Left side of tank). Under the 75 watt I keep a large log/tree thing which ranges from 80-95 degrees usualy (Center) and to the far right I keep his food dishes/water dish in case he's to lazy to walk to his pond for a drink, as well as various mushed up vegitables and a live fig tree/bush which he loves to climb in. Temp ranges 70-80 (I just put a heat pad under this side to get it to 88 ranges... Humidity I keep around 50% which is hard to do up here.. He's on a large barck substraight but am goign to change it to top soil as soon as the bag I bought thaws out :) .Now if you've read this far thank you! and on to the questions.
1. DO you think this is a "Cpomfortable enclouse? If not what should I change to make him more comfortable and happy?
2. I've been told at this age they usualy eat 2-3 Crikets every 2 days or so.. My little tyke is eating 5+ a day is this normal?? ( I feed him whenever he looks at me with that "Feed me I'm dying" sort of puppy eyes of his.
3. Is it normal for him to walk around the take sor tof licking everything? He'll walk up to things and just sort of stick his tougne out and give it a lick.
4.Tricia I LOVE your dragon page!
5.Some times he scares me by sitting with both or one of his eyes closed and breathing very slowly, if you disturb him he usualy just sits there for a few minutes like he's dazed then begins his usual antics.. Normal?

Thanks so much for reading this! I hope to hear form at least one person if you managed to get this far anyhow :)
