not to mention not having the funds to properly raise an iguana, usually. most parents dont appreciate that the $5.00 iguana is now costing them in the hundreds to buy the vet bills, lights, fresh foods and caging and everything else it takes for their cheap little guy. so its not that a young person cant properly raise them, just the odds are against them, financially.
and the time involved is another issue with a lot of teens. with many activities in school and out, its hard to find the time to raise an iguana too. its not impossible, just, once again, the odds are against them.
bravo for the teen that takes that extra step needed to raise a healthy iguana. my hat is tipped to you!!

: Most who buy iguanas don't have a clue, whether they are young or old. Please help educate and maybe people will know.
