Ig-scanning 101

Ok, admit it, I know I've seen that some of you guys do this to post pics of pores....since it's literally impossible to get my hyper ig to stand still, how in the world do you guys get your igs to stand still long enough to get a scan of their femoral pores? Do you kinda hold them there? What about the bright light? Does it harm them in any way? The only time Rex is still is when he's sleeping. :) I would love to post a pic so I can get some opinions on whether Rex is a boy ig or a girlie ig. (I'm guessing girlie myself!) I've had him/her for 1 1/2 years now, so he/she has to be at least that plus a month or two.
