It probably was the iguana sneeze thing--giving you a nice snalt bath! I think they save this stuff up so they can freak you out!
Definitely make sure he stays warm though (you don't want a respiratory infection on your hands)
: I would suggest NOT allowing your iguana by the window unless you know the temps are above 80 degrees right there. You, as you stated in your concerns, realize there is a risk letting your iguana get cold and being by a window during the winter is very risky.
: On the other hand, are you sure it wasn't salt deposits that your iguana was releasing? If they dry up and leave a white power, chances are, that's what it is. But I would still discontinue allowing your iguana by any windows during the winter months or at least til the temps by the window are around 80 degrees.
